Health Physicist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Physicist to support the Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Act (EEOICPA) Project work.

Key Responsibilities

• Produces and reports dose estimates and supporting methodology for claims received by NIOSH under EEOICPA
• Performs internal and external dose reconstructions and peer reviews, evaluating data and medical histories
• Documents findings and writes detailed reports reflecting the results of dose reconstructions

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in health physics, environmental or natural sciences, or related field
• Two or more years of experience in health physics or radiation safety
• Familiarity with basic statistics and/or mathematical modeling
• Experience with dose reconstruction and knowledge of radiation exposure monitoring methods preferred
• U.S. citizenship required for specific government contract work
