Health Plan Document Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Plan Documents Specialist to prepare and manage health plan documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare new and restated Summary Plan Description (SPD) booklets for moderate to complex plan designs
• Complete annual Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC) templates for moderate to complex plan designs
• Respond to inquiries regarding plan provisions and represent the department in client meetings

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent (preferred in English, Liberal Arts, or Communication studies)
• Current position as Plan Document Specialist or a minimum of three years' experience with medical benefit plans
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to identify benefit/compliance issues and communicate resolutions
• Experience conducting peer reviews on documents
