Job Summary
To support the analytical needs of the Department of Health and Human Services, the full-time Health Policy Data Scientist will lead the analysis and modeling of healthcare data using advanced analytics and machine learning, develop interactive reporting tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and modeling of healthcare data using machine learning and statistical techniques
- Develop, test, validate, and deploy machine learning models aligned with strategic objectives
- Analyze healthcare and compliance data to create and maintain interactive reporting templates and dashboards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience developing automated processes using Python, DAX, Power Query, or similar programming languages
- Applied experience with data modeling, including machine learning techniques such as regression and classification
- Experience designing and deploying data science and statistical models in fast-paced environments
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
