Health Scientist I

Job Summary

To support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in preventing type 2 diabetes, the full-time remote Health Scientist I will develop evaluation plans, provide performance measurement support, and conduct data collection and analysis while occasionally traveling to CDC facilities in Atlanta, GA.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine evaluation plans, logic models, and performance measurement frameworks aligned with funding requirements
• Provide ongoing evaluation support to cooperative agreement recipients, including monitoring compliance and identifying performance trends
• Prepare evaluation reports and deliver webinars and tools for recipients and partners to enhance evaluation practices

Required qualifications

• Experience conducting systematic assessments of program inputs, activities, and outputs
• Experience developing evaluation plans and collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data
• Familiarity with implementation research concepts and methods
• Knowledge of rules and procedures governing program development and evaluation
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Office Applications and CDC Administrative Systems
