Healthcare Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Healthcare Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contracts between hospitals and insurance carriers, model claims data, and identify lost revenue
• Contact responsible parties for claim payments and prepare appeal letters for denial overturn
• Perform analysis on large data sets to identify underpayment and denial trends

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Undergraduate degree or internship in a healthcare-related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle or Healthcare Claims preferred
• Understanding of health insurance, EHRs, EMRs, and claims handling
• Healthcare operations experience preferred
• Basic to experienced knowledge of Excel
