Healthcare Analyst

Job Summary

Analyzing healthcare utilization patterns, the full-time Healthcare Analyst II will identify opportunities to reduce medical costs and evaluate the effectiveness of cost reduction initiatives while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare utilization to identify patterns, variations, and outliers
• Evaluate the effectiveness of medical cost reduction initiatives and provide recommendations for network provider performance improvement
• Support the execution of ad-hoc analytics requests and conduct root cause analyses of adverse population health outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics
• Managed care experience is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and tools like Transact-SQL, SAS, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau
• Knowledge of healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims, EMR data, and government-sponsored healthcare programs
