Job Summary

A company is looking for a Healthcare Release of Information Audit Abstractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract protected health information (PHI) and respond to third-party payer requests and audits
• Coordinate the retrieval of medical records and ensure timely delivery for audits
• Maintain knowledge of billing requirements and ensure compliance with confidentiality policies

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in the Health Information Management field preferred
• Understanding of medical record components and retrieval processes
• General knowledge of reimbursement and billing compliance requirements
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and security rules preferred
