Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Healthcare Billing Specialist will manage billing data entry, verify insurance information, and ensure timely completion of billing activities while communicating with clients and patients to resolve discrepancies.
Key responsibilities
- Perform billing data entry and compare data with source documents
- Research and update billing demographic data to ensure prompt payment from insurance
- Communicate with clients and patients via phone to resolve billing defects
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in alpha-numeric data entry (10 key skills)
- Current or previous experience in revenue cycle management (RCM) is preferred
