Healthcare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic team, the contract-to-hire Healthcare Billing Specialist will serve as a key liaison between clients and financial assistance payers, ensuring accurate claims submission and timely resolution of claim issues while working remotely on a full-time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for outreach with financial assistance payers to resolve claims issues and manage workflows
• Collaborate with client business offices to obtain necessary documentation for claim approvals and ensure accurate payment posting
• Monitor claims aging reports and follow up on claims submitted to patient assistance programs to ensure timely payment

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of physician or medical billing experience, preferably with IV infusion billing
• Familiarity with billing systems such as GE Centricity, Unlimited Systems, or Epic
• Oncology or specialty billing experience is a plus
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Tech-savvy and adaptable to multiple systems and workflow platforms
