Healthcare Business Analyst

Job Summary

To support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the full-time remote Healthcare Business Analyst will manage requirements gathering, backlog refinement, and stakeholder engagement while translating complex healthcare regulations into actionable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable epics and user stories
• Lead requirements elicitation sessions to gather and document business and functional requirements
• Analyze current and future-state business processes related to healthcare reporting and regulatory compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile development environments
• Prior experience with federal and/or state healthcare policies and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to translate healthcare regulations into detailed business and system requirements
• Proficiency in using tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and requirements management
