Job Summary

Providing exceptional customer service in a remote environment, the Healthcare Call Center Agent will handle inbound and outbound calls, respond to electronic correspondence, and assist with claims and insurance inquiries while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and address inquiries from members and providers, making outbound calls as necessary
  • Document all interactions accurately in the system and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Meet performance metrics, including call handle time and customer satisfaction, while adhering to standardized call scripting
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare certification preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to show empathy and active listening
  • Ability to multitask and proficiency in Microsoft Office and call center software
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
