Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the remote Healthcare Call Center Agent will handle inbound and outbound calls, respond to electronic correspondence, and assist with claims research and insurance verification while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to address member and provider inquiries professionally
- Document all interactions accurately in the system, maintaining updated and complete records
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare certification preferred
- 1+ year of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and active listening
- Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and call center software
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
