Healthcare Certification Exam Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the development of certification exams, the full-time remote Healthcare Certification Exam Specialist will create, review, and validate credentialing assessments while collaborating with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain certification exam items that assess real-world healthcare knowledge and skills
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure content accuracy and alignment with learning objectives
• Coordinate beta testing and support item validation efforts, including pilot testing and psychometric review

Required qualifications

• Active coding certification from a recognized organization (e.g., AAPC or AHIMA) required
• Strong understanding of medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, or revenue cycle operations
• Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Exam development credentials from organizations such as ICE CCP or equivalent experience
