Healthcare Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Healthcare Collections Specialist will manage specialized collection tasks to reduce outstanding accounts receivables, including handling inbound and outbound patient calls and maintaining accurate documentation across various software systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist patients with payment arrangements and negotiate solutions for outstanding medical bills
• Document account history accurately while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with collection laws
• Collaborate with a virtual team to meet daily and monthly collection goals

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred experience in collections or customer service (6 months minimum)
• Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 wpm
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong initiative and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
