Healthcare Collections Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Healthcare Collections Specialist will manage specialized collection tasks to reduce outstanding accounts receivables while assisting patients with payment arrangements and maintaining accurate documentation across various software systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls and place outbound calls to assist patients with their medical account payments and negotiate payment arrangements
• Document account history accurately while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with collection laws
• Collaborate within a virtual team to meet daily and monthly productivity goals related to calls made and dollars collected

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Preferred experience in collections and at least 6 months of customer service experience
• Proficient PC knowledge with typing speed of 30-40 words per minute
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, co-workers, and management in a virtual environment
