Healthcare Compliance Specialist
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time remote Compliance Specialist will support a healthcare regulatory compliance program through audits, investigations, risk assessments, and issue response activities while ensuring adherence to HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct compliance audits and documentation reviews across operational and clinical functions to assess adherence to regulatory standards
- Support the full lifecycle of internal investigations, including documentation of findings and escalation of compliance reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans addressing identified compliance risks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Public Health, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 2+ years of healthcare compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare care management programs, and OIG compliance guidelines
- Experience with healthcare investigations and root cause analysis
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
