Healthcare Compliance Specialist
Job Summary
To support a healthcare regulatory compliance program, the full-time Healthcare Compliance Specialist will conduct audits, manage investigations, and implement corrective action plans while working remotely in a dedicated, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct compliance audits and documentation reviews across operational and clinical functions to assess adherence to regulatory standards
- Support the full lifecycle of internal investigations, including documentation of findings and tracking compliance reports
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans addressing identified compliance risks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 2+ years of healthcare compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare care management programs, and OIG compliance guidelines
- Experience with healthcare investigations and root cause analysis
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
