Healthcare Controller

Job Summary

Building a robust financial infrastructure, the full-time Controller will oversee financial operations and accounting for a multi-clinic healthcare organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance while managing external relationships and internal controls, with a preference for candidates based in New York City and options for remote work in select states.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process and ensure accuracy of financial statements and reporting integrity
• Oversee bookkeeping accuracy and manage tax preparation workflow in partnership with external providers
• Implement spend management controls and improve financial discipline across teams

Required Qualifications

• 8-12 years of accounting and financial operations experience in corporate or multi-entity environments
• 3-5 years of experience leading core accounting functions such as close, reporting, and audits
• Experience managing outsourced finance functions in a structured environment
• Strong technical accounting capability and operational rigor in building systems and controls
• Exposure to healthcare or value-based care environments preferred
