Healthcare Corporate Counsel
Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Healthcare Corporate Counsel will manage transactional work, draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, and collaborate with various internal business units in a remote or hybrid environment based in Chicago.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with transactional work by drafting, editing, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements with healthcare providers and life sciences companies
- Address new legal issues related to artificial intelligence, data privacy, and healthcare technology while working on various types of agreements
- Engage in general legal work across areas such as intellectual property, corporate governance, and regulatory issues, collaborating with internal teams to evaluate legal risks and opportunities
Required qualifications
- JD Degree
- 4+ years of relevant healthcare transactional experience at an established law firm or in-house role
- Strong familiarity with healthcare regulatory environment, including HIPAA and data privacy regulations
- Current bar membership in at least one state
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with impeccable judgment
