Job Summary
To enhance the patient experience in a remote capacity, the Healthcare Customer Service Representative will manage up to 60 calls daily, addressing inquiries and payment options while providing support in a fast-paced call center environment.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve patient inquiries and concerns through direct phone interactions with patients, partners, and healthcare providers
- Collect payments and guide patients on payment options for outstanding balances, while updating account information as necessary
- Explain medical billing details, including deductibles and copays, while ensuring a positive and caring interaction with all stakeholders
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare, preferably in medical billing and direct patient contact within a call center
- Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance billing practices
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in professional interactions
