Healthcare Data Analyst with CCS Certification

Job Summary

To support data-driven decision-making, the full-time Healthcare Data Analyst with CCS Certification will analyze medical and pharmacy claims data remotely, identify high-risk cases, and provide insights to underwriters and management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data reporting, analytics, and mining to identify areas for analysis and relevant metrics
• Review large reports to pinpoint individuals with potentially catastrophic claims and prepare summaries for underwriting
• Develop and maintain report review guidelines to ensure consistent evaluation of underwriting reports

Required qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification required
• Associate degree in Health Management or Health Information Management required
• 3-5 years of experience in a medical coding or healthcare analytics environment
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis in a remote setting
