Healthcare Data Engineering Director

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization, the full-time Healthcare Data Engineering Director will leverage data expertise to create and communicate the vision for data systems, manage a team of data engineers, and drive projects that enhance health outcomes, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the roadmap for data ingestion, warehousing, transformation, analytics, and reporting systems
• Design and implement data product capabilities, including outcomes reporting and personalization features
• Manage and grow a high-performing team of data and analytics engineers to ensure data quality and system efficiency

Required qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in a people management role, including 5+ years managing data engineers
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare domain, working with various healthcare data types
• Proven experience in building and operating production data systems for over 5 years
• Strong proficiency in data strategy, governance, and operations with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, dbt, Redshift, and AWS
