Healthcare EDI Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the EDI Technical Analyst will analyze, implement, support, and optimize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions within a healthcare payer environment, ensuring accurate data exchange and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and support healthcare EDI transactions, monitoring daily processing and resolving transaction failures
- Create and maintain mapping specifications and technical documentation while performing impact assessments for system upgrades
- Coordinate and execute testing, facilitating onboarding of new providers and validating EDI transaction accuracy during implementations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of healthcare EDI experience within a payer organization
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 transaction sets (834, 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820)
- Experience with SQL and database querying
- Proficiency in analyzing EDI files and troubleshooting transaction errors
