Job Summary
To support the growth of a pioneering health tech company, the remote General Counsel will independently oversee all legal matters, including risk management, contract negotiations, and intellectual property, while aligning legal strategies with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement legal strategies ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy laws
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including partnerships and vendor agreements
- Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing actionable recommendations to protect company assets
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and current bar membership
- 8+ years of legal experience, particularly in healthcare or technology sectors
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and corporate law
- Familiarity with HIPAA and data privacy regulations
- Ability to work independently as a strategic advisor for the legal function
