Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Healthcare Insurance Eligibility and Benefits Specialist will verify patient insurance coverage, determine benefits eligibility, and ensure accurate documentation of insurance information in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and confirm eligibility, benefits, and coverage limitations
• Determine coverage for procedures and communicate benefit information to patients and providers
• Accurately document verification findings and maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare insurance verification or revenue cycle
• Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care programs
• Understanding of insurance terminology, including deductibles and prior authorizations
• Proficiency with payer portals, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications
