Healthcare IT Consultant
Job Summary
To support healthcare IT initiatives, the remote Healthcare IT Consultant will leverage expertise in Oracle Cerner Millennium and laboratory workflows to optimize clinical processes, facilitate EHR and LIS implementations, and ensure effective communication between stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize laboratory clinical and business workflows across various environments
- Gather and document requirements, and support design and build validation activities for Oracle Cerner systems
- Plan and execute testing, validation activities, and go-live readiness assessments while serving as a liaison among stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, particularly in clinical or operational roles
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium and Cerner PathNet
- Experience in EHR or LIS implementations, migrations, or modernization initiatives
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Informatics, Computer Science, Healthcare, Biology, Laboratory Sciences, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of HL7 concepts and laboratory result flows
