Healthcare Operations Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Providing specialized operational and technical expertise, the full-time Healthcare Operations Subject Matter Expert will support the Veterans Health Administration's modernization initiatives, focusing on claims processing, eligibility, appeals, and workflow automation while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational expertise and support for VFMP modernization initiatives, advising on workflow impacts and strategies
• Analyze current and future-state operational workflows, identifying gaps and recommending process improvements
• Participate in requirements gathering and support the development of operational documentation and testing activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in healthcare operations, modernization initiatives, or systems implementation
• Experience in operational process improvement and workflow optimization
• Familiarity with developing operational documentation, workflows, and requirements
• Experience in stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration
