Healthcare Policy Research Economist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Research Economist specializing in Healthcare Policy and Data Analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative research activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, and health policy topics
• Design and oversee the development of analytic data files from various healthcare data sources
• Manage and mentor a team of research staff, ensuring quality and accuracy of data analyses

Required Qualifications

• PhD in health services research, health economics, or related field with 6 years of experience; or Master's with 10 years; or Bachelor's with 12 years of experience
• At least 5 years of experience analyzing large healthcare datasets, particularly Medicare or Medicaid claims
• Experience in quantitative, financial, actuarial, and statistical analysis
• Knowledge of domestic health policy, especially Medicare and Medicaid programs
• Experience leading teams and managing deliverables
