Healthcare Requirements Analyst

Job Summary

Delivering on quarterly release goals for assigned components, the full-time remote Healthcare Requirements Analyst will gather and interpret requirements from federal and state agencies, document specifications in DOORS, and collaborate with product engineers and quality analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and interpret requirements published by federal and state agencies
• Document requirement specifications in DOORS and review them with product engineers and quality analysts
• Support internal teams with escalated customer issues and implement software modifications with component engineers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or a related field, along with four years of experience
• Three or more years of healthcare-related computer science experience working with patient classification systems and/or data analysis
• Understanding of medical grouping, editing, and coding within the healthcare industry
• Familiarity with ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT coding practices and various groupers (MS-DRG, APC, APR, etc.)
• Proven data analysis skills and experience with HIS products
