Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify incoming requests for medical information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations
• Abstract and compile relevant medical information from patient records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to request requirements
• Identify and redact sensitive information in accordance with privacy guidelines and legal requirements

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in health information management, release of information, or medical record abstraction
• Solid knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state privacy laws
• Familiarity with medical terminology and health record documentation
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software applications
