Job Summary

To provide exceptional assistance to patients throughout their care journey, the full-time remote Healthcare Support Specialist will manage patient inquiries, simplify complex billing topics, and ensure consistent documentation while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Key responsibilities:
  • Respond to patient inquiries through chat, email, and internal messaging with clarity and professionalism
  • Break down complex billing and insurance topics into simple, patient-friendly explanations
  • Document all interactions clearly and accurately to ensure seamless communication among team members
Required qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing, health insurance support, or a related patient-facing support role
  • Strong technical proficiency with the ability to navigate multiple systems and tools simultaneously
  • Deep familiarity with insurance terminology, benefits, claims, CPT codes, and coverage workflows
  • Proven experience handling confidential patient data in compliance with HIPAA
  • Remote work experience preferred; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
