Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to track machine service intervals and create work orders
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks freely
