Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the technician will provide maintenance and repair for various customer and company-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts at our Lafayette, LA facility, utilizing advanced technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and support equipment pick-up and delivery as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical requirements of the role
