Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Lafayette, LA facility, the technician will perform maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts while utilizing advanced technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, and diagnose equipment issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and assist in training lower-level technicians as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, including schematics and diagrams
