Job Summary

To support a growing rental facility, the full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) will provide maintenance and repair for various heavy equipment and aerial lifts while utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues in Lafayette, LA.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, and track machine service intervals
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
