Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will provide maintenance and repair for various customer and company-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts while utilizing advanced technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure safe job practices are followed during equipment repairs

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
