Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the technician will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts at our Lafayette, LA facility, utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure adherence to safe job practices

Required qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
