Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Lafayette, LA facility, the technician will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics while adhering to safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, ensuring timely documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and support equipment pick-up and delivery as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to the role
