Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues efficiently while working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure safe job practices are followed during repairs

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
