Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the technician will provide maintenance and repair for various heavy equipment and aerial lifts at our Lafayette, LA facility, utilizing advanced technology to enhance efficiency and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
- Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure adherence to safe job practices
Required qualifications
- High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
- Must own tools applicable to the position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
