Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts while utilizing technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment and maintaining documentation of work performed
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, as well as diagnose issues on a variety of machinery
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and support equipment pick-up and delivery as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment, schematics, and diagrams
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to the role
