Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics while providing training to junior technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track machine service intervals
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
