Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will maintain and repair a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing advanced technology to monitor work orders and diagnose issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure safety practices are followed during repairs

Required qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of schematics and diagrams
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
