Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing advanced technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Utilize technology to track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and support equipment pick-up and delivery as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
