Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

To support a growing rental facility, the full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) will perform maintenance and repair on a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues while working onsite in Lafayette, LA.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, and track machine service intervals
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
