Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) in Lafayette, LA, who will perform maintenance and repair on various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology to manage work orders and service intervals while ensuring safety and efficiency in a shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track machine service intervals
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment schematics
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
