Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic, the technician will provide maintenance and repair for various heavy equipment and aerial lifts at our Lafayette, LA facility, utilizing technology to manage work orders and diagnose issues effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology for tracking service intervals, ordering parts, and documenting work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain compliance with safety practices and OSHA requirements

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of construction equipment
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
