Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician, the role based in Lafayette, LA, will focus on maintaining and repairing a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing advanced technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders while maintaining accurate electronic documentation
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and support equipment pick-up and delivery as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with a strong understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
