Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician, the successful candidate will provide maintenance and repair for a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts at our Lafayette, LA facility, utilizing advanced technology to streamline work orders and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, and maintain accurate electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and ensure safe job practices for equipment repair

Required qualifications

• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with the role
