Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician, the position based in Lafayette, LA, will focus on the maintenance and repair of various heavy equipment and aerial lifts, utilizing technology for efficient work order management and diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems of rental and customer equipment
• Utilize technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, ensuring accurate tracking of service intervals and documentation
• Assist in training lower-level technicians and maintain a safe working environment while adhering to OSHA requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma; trade school certificate preferred
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair of construction equipment
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of construction equipment schematics and diagrams
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to the role
